Yes, though I wouldn't worry about the sun affecting the climate since that takes way too long, our affect on the climate is the immediate threat.

In about a billion years the Earth will become uninhabitable because of the sun increasing in power output.

Yes. Eventually, in billions of years, when the sun converts all it's hydrogen to helium, the core will collapse and the shell will expand, making it a red giant. The sun would possibly swallow the Earth up, actually, but the gradual increase in size would make the Earth hotter, yes.

I, personally, don't think we can credit global warming to the expansion of the sun, it's happening far too fast. If that's what you were thinking.

Yes. The sun is has been predicted to get so large, it may even swallow earth. I would say that could affect our climate. However, that will take billions of years, so even as it expands even now, we wont notice a significant difference for a long, long time.

yes, eventually the sun will expand such that it's close proximity to the earth with cause the Earth to melt. Long before then, the earth will be inhabitable. We have quite a ways to go until then, so make sure that you support space exploration so we can have enough time to find a new home.

Yes, it will eventually expand to the point where it's engulfed the Earth completely. But it's not actually expanding now. That's not going to happen for 5 billion years.

If the source of heat for our planet gets bigger, what do YOU think would be the effect on our climate?

Not as far as we are concerned. That is a real process--but it is also very slow. If you wait around a billion years or so, you'll notice a difference--it will probably be a good bit warmer.

it only heats up our planet and gives off energy to us. but i'm sure it would have no effect on us at all if the size changes.
