next store neighbor bought a van that just had the head gasket replaced there is bubbling and steam coming from the radiator.you can see it bubbling.any ideas on what this mite be and how to fix it???

Mr. Know could be right, but before you go to that trouble and expense, check for a leak from the radiator or hoses. It may also be that after the gasket was replaced, the mechanic didn't refill the cooling system completely.

If it's bubbling when it's cold they messed up the head gasket. They might have done a lousy job or the head might have been warped. Lots of mechanics don't bother to figure out why the gasket blew in the first place. A good shop will have a little device that will tell if it's exhaust gas bubbling up.

Sounds like you might have air in your system,which causes bubbling.Must crack a hose and bleed the air out.

filty head gasket replacement.( if they did!!)
