Nobody is going to be able to tell you all possible ways, but here's a start:

1. Weathering and erosion contribute to the formation of soil, an important facet of ecological succession.
2. These processes put minerals from rocks into the water for the phosphorus cycle.
3. Erosion puts nutrients into the water which travels through rivers to help sustain the rich life of estuaries and coastal wetlands.

It could be that helps the fauna of that area expand or it could be that its just a natural way for the Earth to change.
