"Singularity" may also refer to black holes. "Cosmic egg" is yet another expression I have heard used to express the concept of the original source of the big bang.

There is no "before" the big bang as time itself didn´t exist. When a singularity began expanding time and space also began. This was the big bang and the expansion continues today. The word you seek is singularity.

Well, a lot of folks call it the "Singularity", but around these parts we call it the "Hard Rock Cafe." That is where everyone
gathered after a hard days work building the Universe and all that stuff you see out there on a dark night. The Hard Rock Cafe was a very large, double pyramid shaped object that was rather large in comparison to places like Earth, Mercury, and Venus. Euphamistic Vibrations emanated from the sides of the pyramid to fill its workers inside with wonderous joys and total satisfaction every day. You should have seen it. I don't think anything compares to it these days, but then I haven't seen all things in my lifetime. One thing was for certain, however, no time was wasted on eating nuitritious foods. in the high pressure envoironment of the "Hard Rock"
nutrition from vitamins and minerals was just absorbed as needed. That saved lots of time lost in the preparation and consumption of standard meals that are used for the same purpose today. Tittilation was a common passtime at the Hard Rock and everyone enjoyed a bit of that from time to time.

Hot butter singularity! The Big Butter Bang theory states that the universe emerged from a tremendously dense and hot state of butter about 13.7 billion years ago! Mind you, the butter singularity had infinite density and therefore occupied no space!
The theory is based on the observations of butter-space-time expansion indicating the expansion of space would slide better in butter!

the universe. every single last thing that now exists in the universe including space time itself was inside of that bloc, so it was called the universe. it wasn't like some huge lump of matter just sitting there uselessly until it exploded. everything was in there. there wasn't any space outside of it, nothing was out there looking at it. everything was inside of it.
so the only word that can be used to describe it is the universe.
