I am looking at a computer with a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. What do they do?

You can burn CD-R (write once) or CD-RW (rewritable multiple times) discs and play DVDs on it.

A cd-rw/dvd drive is a capable of playing DVD disks (Watch Movies) and coping files to CD-R and CD-RW blank disks for storage or sharing.

This may include coping Programs or Coping or burning a music CD.
