if i were christine, i wouldn't marry erik. i'm not saying that out of dislike for erik, but what kind of life was he offering her? to live down under the opera house in the dark? even if he didn't do all those horrible things, it still wouldn't have been a good life for her. i don't think that erik deserved everything that happened to him, and he is pitiable. i think that he realized that he and christine couldn't be together at the end, and i think that he sort of 'came out into the light' as it were. i don't think that erik was crazy. not intially, at least. he couldn't live out in society, mask or no mask. i think being shut up under the opera house was like caging him up like an animal, and that he sort of lived through christine, which was why he loved her.

I don't think that I would marry Erik, and that is mainly because of the kind of life that he could offer me. It's not that I dislike him, in fact I think that underneath it all he could be a decent sort of person. I wouldn't marry Raol either because I just can't stand him, in no way is he truly heroic.
Erik did not deserve his fate, and he should have had a better one because of all the turmoil that he went through. He was not crazy, just misunderstood. If people would have tried to understand that he was abused and ostracized. What Erik needed was acceptance.

I would be totally enthralled by marrying Erik, but I wouldn't if it doesn't make me happy. I feel very very sorry for Erik cause he should have a better fate... I think he was misunderstood. He had lived too long without human companions and lived too long away from the world, hidden away and possessed by music. And when he finally found someone who could sing like him... he was just so overjoyed or something. It's really sad..

I would definitely marry Erik. He is much more passionate and never had deserved his fate. He was not crazy. His behaviours are normal outcomes of an abondaned life. When ever I watch the movie, I can never stop crying for him. I have never felt a character that much close to me.

If I was Christine, I wouldn't marry Erik. No, he did nt deserve his fate, if he had been helped and more understood, perhaps things would have been differet. I think perhaps from the miunderstandings, he became crazy, had he been more understood, he would not have become so strange and "crazy".

I don't think I would've married Erik because I just didn't love him. Erik didn't deserve his fate. He murdered, I know, but put yourself in his place--cursed with a deformed face, humiliated, abandoned. . . all alone. He wasn't crazy, he was hurt and lonely. I pitied his character deeply.
