I don't know if these are the only players to do it, but they're the only situations I could find. I better get best answer for taking the time to find this stuff...lol

Casey Jacobson played in 84 games (most that I could find) during the 04-05 season. He played 40 games for Phoenix and then 44 games with New Orleans.

An old timer named Fred Hetzel (first overall pick in the 1965 draft) played 84 games in 1969 after being traded.

Aaron McKie played 83 games during the 97-98 season. He played 24 with Detroit and then was traded to Philly where he played 57 more.

Mark Jackson played 83 games during the 00-01 season. 54 with Toronto and 29 with the Knicks.

A.C. Green played 83 during the 96-96 season. 56 with Dallas & 27 with the Suns.

There are probably others but here are 4 men who played in more than 82 games in a season.

James Donaldson in 1985-86 played 14 games for the Clippers, was traded to Dallas and played 69 games for the Mavericks. Total, 83 games.

Both Michael Finley and A.C. Green in 1996-97 played 27 games for the Suns, were traded to Dallas and played 56 games for the Mavericks. Total, 83 games.

Mark Jackson in 2000-01 played 29 games with the Knicks, was traded to Toronto and played 54 games for the Raptors. Total, 83 games.

It would have to be a player traded during the season and because both teams wouldn't have played the same amount of games, this could result in someone playing over 82 games not including the playoffs. Who that or those players could be, I have no idea....??????
Malone was never traded, maybe Dennis Rodman or Charles Barkley....?????

I don't know and I really don't care. But if it has happened I know it wasn't Karl Malone like someone else said. He played his entire career with the Utah Jazz except in his last season. He wasn't traded to the Lakers he signed as a free agent. So it can't be him. He only played 42 games with the Lakers that year.

The submit season defines a participant by fact it takes lots artwork to get into the playoffs after for you to play against the suited communities in the NBA. If a participant won't have the ability to have fulfillment in the playoffs then they do no longer rather have the coronary heart of a champion. yet another element- i do unlike Kobe Bryant, and that i do no longer think of that he merits to be whilst in comparison with Michael Jordan- yet heavily dude... you're giving Kobe followers reason to think of that all and sundry people who do unlike Kobe are boastful.
