I have the ear-cleaning antiseptic from getting my 1st lobe piercing and I have the majority of the bottle left. Am I required to buy more? Or can I just say no thanks and get my ears pierced. I kinda need to know soon. Thanks.

Ok. SO if I brought my own earings (are we allowed to?) to get pierced into my ears, would I have to pay for anything?

read this; then go and get the piercings done correctly by a trained professional at a piercing shop. using a gun at Claire's to pierce it causes blunt force trauma to your ear and is not sterile, nor safe, and is more likely to cause an infection. PLEASE read the article.

When I got my second piercing done, all I had to pay for was the earrings. I had half a bottle of cleanser left, too. The cleanser is included so they shouldn't charge you for it.

I'm sure that if you tell them you already have some, they won't make you buy more. Stay away fro rubbing alcohol, it dries out your piercings. If anything, use a saline solution, such as cleanser for contact lenses.

I'm not sure they would let you use your own earrings. They may question how sterile they are and whether they are the correct kind to use for piercing. I'm sure that a condition of the free piercing is that you buy their earrings. They may charge you to pierce your ears if you bring your own earrings.

I no longer trust Claire's or the like. I don't want a fifteen year old sales person putting holes in my body.

Ew. I got my ears pierced at the mall once, and soon got a raging infection, inflamed piercing, severe ear infection, stomach-flu like symptoms. I talked to my doctor, and she took out the piercing, within hours i was feeling better. Since then, i have only gotten piercings at ear/nose/throat specialists.

I don't want to offend anyone, or scare people, but that's what happened to me.

And when u did get them done at Claire's, they made me buy the antiseptic stuff.

My cousin peirced her ears at claires too, and she bought the earing but the bottle came free. That same day her earing fell out and her ear pierce closed. Later that same day she went back to claires and they repierced it for no extra charge and they gave her another bottle for free.

when you peirce your ears, first or second or third time, you just have to pay for the earing. the ear cleaning antiseptic is free.

Claires pierces ear for free, so if you bring your own earrings, they would make no money. Buying the earrings isnt expensive anyways, go for the cheapest pair you can find, usally about $12. Plus, they have to put the earrings in the gun they use, so they would have to be in the special case they come in. Also due to sanitary reasons they arnt gonna let anyone bring in some earrings they just picked from there jewelry box. Spend the $12 to get them done

If you have a lot of antiseptic left, you should be fine. Just get the piercing and be on your way.

You don't have to buy it again. I have three ear lobe piercings and have never used the stuff anyways. My ears never clogged up or got infected either. so don't stress over that stuff. only use it if you notice an infection or soreness!!

Yes, the antiseptic is fine. Or you could just use rubbing alcohol, or vodka. It's all the same.
