i don't know about wild peacocks, but in Fairfield, California, about 40 min east of San Francisco, a couple who owned two birds, died and left the birds and the house to the city of Fairfield. As a caveat with the house, the birds were required to be left on the premise and cannot be moved. The two birds have mated and had hundreds of offspring. They all still live there and don't leave the property except to bother the houses across the street. They do fly by the way. Kind of more like a glide.

HOpe that helps!
