You need a Talent Agent. The Casting Agent and Talent Agent work together.
If you know that a particular Casting Agent is currently casting a project that is "right for you," ask your agent to submit your résumé to the Casting Agent.
Typically, Talent Agents go to theatre productions to look for prospective clients. When you perform in a play, invite agents to the production.
Buy a copy of the publication The Ross Reports. It lists names and addresses of NYC Talent Agents. Ross Reports is available in NYC as most large newstands, in particular WorldNews near Port Authority. I think the price is $10.00
