This Imus thing has made me so very angry, I can't stop thinking about all the good he has done, and thanks to him many peoples lives are much better. Do you think Sharpton and Jesse will step up and keep doing his work and keep helping as many vets and kids with cancer as Imus has done?

I think people stop and yell rascism at everything. To me it is getting a little pathetic. They go after one person that makes one comment. The comment was wrong and insensitive. But I dont think saying one thing makes anyone a bad person. It's ridiculous it has gone this far.

To measure one comment against all the good he has done is even more ridiculous. I think his losing his job makes THEM look bad not him. He will continue to do good. He will find a new job....hopefully someone with more patience and tolerance and not a bunch of bigots.

Honestly, the only thing about this Rutgers/Imus thing is I dont even want to take any sides in it. It was such a small incident and I've heard it thouroughly from both sides and it just makes it sound like both sides are wrong in this. You cant really expect the network or the radio station to keep Imus after all this attention was called to the comments he made, but you have to think if he was just talking about some nobody somewhere that none of this wouldve happened. But because these girls go to prestigious Rutgers University in New Jersey and play on the basket ball team (maybe because they had been having such a good season). It becomes a battle of the races judged by who is having more percieved succees, and therefore a better rank in society, and therefore more deserving of common respect and dignity than the other. Honestly, this isn't a problem of race at all, its a problem with how we decide to treat people according to how much they have or will have with regard to career or material possesions or whatever you want to call it all. Dont get me wrong because I do it to, but is that all we can find to respect about a person?? Because if it is we just find a new way to become shallow along with all those other reasons we had to treat someone like we're any better than them.

Sharpton and Jackson were bit players in this drama. It was the network employees, black journalists and advertisers that got Imus fired.

Imus will get another show and a platform from which to raise money for his charities.

Yes I agree

Don Imus has done many charity works that helped people. Including minority children.

If Al Gore gets a free pass on his lavish lifestyle for "carbon credits", doesn't Imus get any "bigotry credits" in light of his many good works? Surely one slip of the tounge is covered here.

The "Reverends" need to be agressively investigated by the IRS and charged with any violations of tax code. Hey, that how we brought Al Capone down!

Sharpton and Jackson are soooooooooo fake. Those two are only looking out for one thing......themselves!!!!! They call themselves "Reverends", so where is the forgiveness? The women who were offended by the remarks made by Imus were willing to forgive but no, not Sharpton or Jackson. Sad, really sad!

The only time Sharpton and Jackson step up to the plate is either when it's been passed around the congregation or when someone else bought the dinner.

This is just another example of liberals destroying each other, and how blacks can get away with saying things whites cannot. Firing Imus was racist!

Make no mistake, we lost the freedom of free speech.
Just remember who did it, so later you don't think the
Republicans did it. Its a first step towards Socialism.
