Are you still a loyal Janet Jackson fan, or do you have Janet Jackson fatigue (i.e. you're tired of her)?

I'm asking this b/c I had no idea that her last album, 20 Y.O., was a huge failure and sold under 500,000 copies. I have her album, too (and I will admit that I don't listen to it very much at all). I just thought it was ok.

I still love her. Unfortunately, her old cd's were better so, I'm taking a break from her so to speak......... :(

Sometimes I think that when artists go off the radar even for a while, they are often forgotton in our midst. We are not always true to the artist when they don't continue to record. The fact that Janet is older and had to loose a lot of weight in order to get her act together 'again' probably drained her. Her voice and 'need' to sing has changed. She is always going to be an artist that some people will respect and would pay money to see - but she has only been mildly an attraction to my taste of music. I can only stand so much of the 'little girl voice' that she has - and moreover, I can hardly understand her words. It was sad that her music did not do so well this time. So, loyal - no; a fan ; no.

I guess I got tired of Janet Jackson. I use to like her alot, but in recent times, every time I've seen her in an interview, she talks real spacey like her brother Michael. I remember her being on Oprah last year, and she was acting the same way. As far as her music goes, it's too much the same over and over again. Same thing goes for her videos. She has the same choreography in every one. I think she needs to freshen up the stuff she puts out there. Maybe her manager should suggest that.
