About a year ago, I started reading Patricia Cornwell, and have enjoyed her books immensely. I have just started reading "At Risk" and would like to know about authors in a similar genre whose styles are comparable. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I love Kay Scarpetta!

I love series because you get to know the characters. You see them evolving.

These are my favorites:

Kathy Reich's Temperance Brennan Series - the basis for the FOX tv series Bones. THat is if you like the forensics.

Robin Cook - not a series but still great medical thrillers.

Linda Fairstein - Alexandra Cooper series. About a Assistant District Attorney in charge of Special Victims Unit/Sex Crimes Unit in Manhattan. Think of Stephanie March's character Alex Cabot in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

James Patterson - WOmen's Murder Club series. I love this. THere's Lindsey the cop, Claire the medical examiner, Jill the prosecutor and Cindy the reporter. Together they solve serial killings, murders, etc.

Catherine Coulter's FBI Series - the husband and wife FBI agents Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock. Great storylines and funny characters. I've fallen in love with Savich and Sherlock.

Kay Hooper's FBI Special Crimes Unit. - now here's something you don't read all that often. The unit is full of psychics. Telepaths, Mediums, etc.

while reading a written e book, you're stimulating your brain. You increase your literacy and reading skills and you also along the way, become more literate. Even with today's modern tools, you nevertheless still need to have the ability to read.
While watching t.v. can be good fun, it is not doing anything to the human brain.
