Yes, they get a ring like in the other sports, BUT what is unique about The Stanley Cup is that each player on the team, gets to spend 24 hours with the Cup in their possession.
The NHL has a guy that travels and takes care of the Cup. He travels everywhere with it. Polishes it, take s care of it like a child. According to NHL legend, Stanley Cup Champs have done all manner of things while they have it. Guys have had their babies baptized in it, gigantic ice cream sundaes, taken it fishing with them, drank beer out of it (of course!) just to name a few of the things people over the years have done with the Cup.
I have seen it in person, (it came to Buffalo in '99 when the Sabres were in the finals) and it has all these little scratches and dents on it..which makes cool, gives it character.
This is probably why it is the most coveted trophy in all of pro sports.

Everyone is right so far ... almost. They do get a ring, they also get a miniture replica of the cup, they get to spend two days with the Stanley cup, not one and last but not least, the further they go in the playoffs, they get more money.
Also, any player who wins any of the awards at the end of the season also gets a miniture replica of the trophy he wins.
