Before you mess with the sender, take the wire off and ground it out. The gauge should go all the way to hot if it's good. If it doesn't a new sender won't help.

i've got a Skoda a million.6 97 plate Felicia and it does precisely the same element with the temperature gauge, on the backside until you get caught in site visitors then it starts increasing. while it creeps as much as the pink the electrical powered fan kicks in and makes it behave. Had a sparkling temperature sensor, temperature gauge sensor and thermostat, no distinction. In chilly climate the warmth popping out of the vents is, to be style, tepid. i've got had 3 mechanics at my community provider centre scratching there heads over this one and that they reckon this is a few form of surprising air lock interior the warmth exchanger for the heater yet have by no ability have been given to the backside of it so I in simple terms stay with it. As for the blower, verify the fuse. i've got observed the occasional "jerk" while attempting to enhance up up hills at around 50 mph. seems to be linked to certainly one of those petrol I top off with yet is likewise temperature appropriate i.e. if this is warmish outdoors (15C+) it will take place extra frequently, perchance a pair of times in an 80 mile journey. could be worth checking the stress of the alternator belt if there are obvious electric issues. The troubleshooting area interior the Haynes instruction manual below "Hesitates below acceleration" says Worn or incorrectly gapped spark plugs (Mine are new) Vacuum leak on the throttle physique, inlet manifold or linked hoses Blocked injector/gasoline gadget injection fault
