Do you remember movies that don't need translated dialogues to be understood. Or movies that don't have any speech.

For example: Tuvalu (by Veit Helmet), 3Iron (by Kim ki-Duk)

I'm assuming you don't mean silent or subtitled movies. Well, I'm not sure this is what you mean, but some buddies and I got really drunk and went to a Jackie Chan all nite film festival at a Chinese theater. I mean a real Chinese theater. We were the only non Asians there and we had a pretty good time, deciphering the movies.
On the other hand there is a movie called Atlantis by Luc Besson. It's about undersea life. Nice and mellow.

Russian Ark (It's a film that goes through 400 years of Russian history. It's the only movie to be filmed in one continuous, 2-hour long shot).

Run Lola Run (Germany)

Audition (Japan)

Osama (Afghanistan. It's a movie about a young girl who needs to dress up like a boy to get work. So good).

Ponette (There's little dialogue as it is - but when there is, it's delivered by the 4-year-old star of it, Victoire Thivisol. Victoire won the best actress award at the 1996 Venice film festival for this when she was 4. OMG it's so good).

Blackboards (Iran)

The Silence (Tajikistan)

Joyeux Noel (France)

A la Mode (France)

These are only the ones I could think of off the top of my head. Sorry!

You're gonna get LOTS of answers from us Americans who are previlaged to live in the same country as Hollywood, where we don't have to worry about such things. All our movies are made in English, the language in which we speak. Now, if we watch a foreign movie, THEN we must read subtitles or set the language for English. :-) But foreign movies are not the mainstream here and many have never even seen one.

I speak English - any movie shot in English does not need translation to my language. There are a lot of them :)

You mean silent movies? Yes, I've watched a few. Netflix has a lot on their site, you could go there to rent some.
