I've never had enough of the pregnancy hormone to have a positive home pregnancy test. Even when I was 6mos pregnant with my daughter, the HPT said not pregnant. I statred my last period on 03/15 and I haven't started for this month. I tried one of those digtal tests this morning and within 45 seconds(no lie) it can back flashing pregnant. Is it possible that this is not accurate?

False positives are extremely rare. There are conditions that can cause it. Most likely you are pregnant. Tell your Doctor and discuss it together. By the way the hormone detected by Home Pregnancy tests is only found in high quantities in the frist trimester. This is probably why you got a negative at 6 months.

There is no such thing as a false positive, unless there is a manufacturer's defect in the test. The test is picking up HCG in your urine or it wouldn't say pregnant. Here is a link for a great site dedicated to pregnancy tests. peeonastick.com go there and look around. She has a entire article that she wrote dedicated to false positives and I find it interesting. It might help you. Also they show all different tests and what ones are better ect. I wish you all the best with this new pregnancy :)

Here's a surefire way to know:

1) Mix up a paste of butter, lemon juice and baking soda.
2) Smear it on your abdomen.
3) If you are pregnant a baby will emerge from your lower unit in nine months.

Some women prefer not to use the butter... but if you want to be entirely sure...

I would think that it is accurate. If you are really not sure then take another one in a few days. False negatives are more common than false positives.

Yes, but it is not very likely because it's more common to have false negatives than false positives. Try EPTs, they're really accurate.
