The Fallopian tube grabs it up, where it is fertilized (if there was frequent intercourse and sperm is present). Whether it is fertilized or not, it makes its way down the Fallopian tube into the uterus where it implants (if fertilization has occurred), or it is shed with the lining of the uterus (if fertilization hasn't occurred). The shedding of the lining of the uterus and unfertilized egg is in the form of menstruation.

it travels to the finger-like projections on the tip of the fallopian tube, goes down through it, then reaches the womb. if a sperm meets the egg, the egg attaches to the walls of the womb and nine months later you get a baby. if no sperm is present to fertilise the egg, it gets flushed out together with the uterine lining as the monthly period.

The egg is swept into the end of an oviduct because the oviduct is lined with cilia that wave and pull the egg in. In humans, the oviduct is sometimes called a Fallopian tube.
