Yes, he is leaving for sure because he has wanted to do movies for the last few years, but couldn't due to the schedule for Las Vegas.
Nikki Cox is also not going to be on the show as of next season.

Yes, he's leaving for sure. So is Nikki Cox. I can't believe it. I don't know if I can watch it without James Caan. To me, he IS the show. It will never be the same. Hopefully he will come back eventually.....

I haven't heard that but i hope not cause without him what is the point in the show, but at least he does make some good movies

I'm pretty sure that he is...I believe it's about contract issues...I use to watch that show and I can't imagine it without him...he IS the show!

They wrote his character out via having him bypass on the run and into hiding after killing Mary's sexually abusive father. Oddly, he seems to have taken his shop-a-holic spouse with him!
