Yesterday i blew out a tire on my car, with a HUGE hole. I accidently ran over a curb because i wasnt paying attention and my tire just basically popped. now i'm trying to figure out if it popped because of the curb, or maybe there was something in the road that punctured it.

Yes, and it may be out of alignment, or you could have also broken something, like a tie rod.

Sure you can blow out a tire by hitting the curb. The angle of attack could matter, since most "four ply" tires might not be severley damaged by contact, except if the sidewall hits the curb before the tread (there are fewer plies in the sidewall), but it is quite likely that you didn't hit anything that would cause a puncture. Since you said, "popped", it indicates to me that you did, in fact, blow the tire out by hitting the curb.

Yes, it can. I tend to run over curbs and the less expensive tires really can't take it. More often than not, though, the tire was already failing and hitting the curb was like the last straw for the tire.

in case you hit it complicated sufficient to bend 2 rims the possibilities are reliable which you bent some thing else. you may take a glance below the physique for disturbed paint or airborne dirt and dirt and probably % out it, yet, if there is injury, you will would desire to restoration it earlier you may good align the automobile. the two rims that have been bent... i might toss em or make the extra valuable one a spare tire. they gained't be as reliable as they have been (enormously after the finely honed skills of a walmart worker !!) and that would probably be your concern. change those wheels to the different component of the automobile and notice if the priority strikes or transformations... yet the two way i might nonetheless get new rims if for no different reason then protection. .

If your tire was overinflated and/or the curb was sharp.
Yes it's possible, but uncommon.
