Hi...I have a Ford Windstar 2000..My Question.. The over-drive light does not come on..?

Could this be a problem with the trans..?. When I push the button it sometimes shows a different rpm reading? Thank you

Pushing the button should turn the overdrive off and increase rpms. If it does, it's just a burnt out light.

Get on a level road that you can cruise on at 50 MPH. Switch the O/D on and off. The RPMs should raise and lower with the switch position. If it does, the bulb or wiring to the light is bad.
