throughout the documentary the narrator kept saying

'Only Steve has the experience to deal with a stone fish with his bare hands'

or

'Steve is the only person in the world Ive seen who can handle a sea snake in its natural environment'

or

'Steve can dive right in after the just released crocodile because he is an expert at judging animal behaviour and know when it will become agressive'

Hmmmm ........ funny how they failed to mention his expertise when it comes to Stingrays.

Apparently he wasnt as adept at judging animals in the wild as he would have us believe.

What Steve Irwin was, was an expert documentary maker and incredibly interesting to watch. He could not have foreseen, sadly, that the stingray he was filming would attack him - a tragic event indeed.

He was best dealing with creatures he was very familiar with and had even said on a few occasions to close friends that he would probably have a serious accident in the sea.

He's sadly missed.

The only perfect person in the world, I'm told, was Jesus.
A freak accident is just that, a freak accident. I'd like to see you find someone who can do what Steve did without serious injury. Then maybe, you will have some grounds for your criticism. Better yet, try it yourself.

No-bodies perfect! Just goes to show that animals in the wild have to be treated with respect, which he didn't always do, with fatal results!
