Depends on how the screw is bolted...sometimes cut the bolt between two pieces or you will need to drill out/bore out the screw to replace with another larger one if it is drilled into a solid item... good luck...been there ....done that!....

If the head of the screw is not completely broken off you should be able to use a friction compound called EZ Grip Friction
Drops. That is what the military and aerospace industry use for screw removal

If it's broken flush you can try an ez-out. If it still doesn't come out you might have to drill it out and tap the hole for the next larger size screw. It varies depending on where the screw is and how hard it is to access it.

You can use a pair of vise-grip pliers if there's a little of the screw sticking out. If there is not enough to grip, go to Sears and buy a set of Easy Outs in their tools section. The Easy Out will come with instructions as to their use. Good luck!

What you need is an Ezi-out.
You drill a hole in the head of the screw and the wind the Ezi-out in.
As the thread of the Ezi-out is opposite to a regular screw, as you wind it in, it unscrews the screw you want to remove.
Good Luck
