In the Bible it says not to covet your neighbor's house, wife, or anything else that belongs to your neighbor. It is one of the ten commandments. I believe that wives are property of their husbands, but men need to take care of their property because they are little treasures.

That kind of religious belief is usually preferred by lesser educated people. But long before I got to college I would not have allowed anyone, not even my parents, to think they owned me. It's the equivalent of being stepped on by a giant foot.
It's only an excuse to say that men need to take care of their treasures. A captive is a captive, even when you change the paper in the box every day. Are you really smart enough to see to all the needs and wants of another human being? That's an enormous undertaking.
If you find a woman who wants to be treated that way, you'll eventually outgrow her emotionally, and in other ways, as well. Then she will be a stone around your neck that you created. A very unhealthy life.

I don't Believe that Crap, in the Real World its that Fact that Men are Breadwinner, and Women are Housewives, unless You live in the 21st Century where Both Parents work and If they're Single and Choose not be with a Man, and If you're a Feminist and You Know Men are Bigots.

So Understand that not all Women are Created Equal, just Men are not Created Equal.

LOL you have made my point again Sandy. You just love riling people up, don't you! How can you not know the responses you will receive?

Husbands and wives belong to each other! That is the crux of the heterosexual contract of marriage.

it doesn't relly matter what you believe, you will find the harder you try to pin someone down the more they will struggle to get away. covet means you want them for your own, if you just want to sex them up and send them back, that's a whole nother commandment. and what does that have to do with ownership? it really depends on why type woman you choose to go through your journey of life with, some women like being dominated, they want to be whipped and choked and raped and a whole nother world of kinkiness, so be wise in your choice grasshopper. lest you pick the wrong kink.

Don't really go by the bible. I bring home the money and he does the dishes. I own him. We treat each other like a treasure and if someone were to try to take either of us away from the other, there'd be a bloodbath in Michigan. We'll make the Yahoo news page, I promise.

based on the bible, i would say that is partly correct. it says that women should submit to their husbands...however that does not mean things like giving them sex whenever they would like, as some men would like to believe. the men are supposed to be the breadwinners and work the land, as that was man's punishment for Adam's sins in the Garden of Eden. They are supposed to take care of their families as one would take care of their property. So yes, I guess you could look at it as *property* in that sense.

If you are basing it on law though, no, women are not men's property. Everyone is created equal. And when men and women marry, they are both equal in the eyes of the law. The bible also states to obey the law, so that is where you reach a gray area.

However they bible also says to *honor thy mother and thy father*...that does not mean to listen to your parents if they tell you to kill someone, steal, etc...the bible is the law, above any other.

Of course sweetheart!
Women are a man's property at all times.
Before they're married it is their father and when they get married they belong to their husband.
Am I right baby? I need a smart male to help me...
