I tend to agree with your mom. I would give it a few months. I had my uterous out in my 30's. I started with I was 9 yrs old. My first one was about 2 weeks long. Just keep an eye on it. If it continues you should go to the GYN.

I don't know maybe all girls are different but when I first got my period there wasn't a lot. It was just for about 3 days and then it kinda went from 5 to days every month. And I even had a month where I didn't have period at all.
I think you should talk to your mom again if it keeps going like that.
It might be that you have the same thing as your mom.
Good luck and I hope it gets better.

If you're young, it could be your body is trying to regulate the period better still. If you are larger, especially in the abdomen, your periods may end up being heavier and lasting longer. The first year of periods are not usually the same as they always will be. Could mention this stuff to your family physician next time you see one.

I would see a doctor right away, just to be certain it isnt a big thing. Also keep a record. This has happened to my friend and it was that she had a problem with her hormones. So I would suggest you get it checked out

I would go a few months and record all that happens then go to the doctor if things dont get better...be very detaied in your descriptions...it could just be an odd hormone causing it and you need a few pills..it really could be anything.
