depends on what system you have, EA for the PC is usually always good. But EA 07 for the ps2 was worse than 06 and i think 2k7 for the ps3 is the best game hockey game ive ever played...the EA 07 for the xbox 360 seems pretty good too
i buy a hockey game every year though i hate having out dated games

Do you own NHL 2007? If you're a fan of the NHL series, I think the best thing to do is buy the previous year as you can get it less than half the price of the newest one. Do that each year and you save a lot of money. If you want current rosters, you can implement the transactions yourself, or if it's on the PC you can download the current roster.

trade in the old one for money off the new one ... I have NHL 07 on XBox 360 and its awesome ... but you gotta get the new ones when they come out --- I do the same thing with the Madden games

If you're talking about the 2K series, 2K7 was terrible. 2K5 to me is still the best hockey game ever made.
