I know this sounds like a dumb questuin and i read that pineapple sage seed does not remain viable for a long time? In have found out the ususally germinate within nine days, but my question was about how long does the seed remain viable for? (weeks, months, years?)?? How can i extend its viability?

Thank You,

Allow the pods to dry for a few days in a warm place after harvesting. Mature seeds will roll out of the base of the bell. Usually there are only a few seeds in a bell. You can use paper coin envelopes to store seed. They need to be cool but not frozen and not damp. Refrigerate til used or store in an unheated room . Most seed is good for one year with a high germination rate. After that the proportion of viable seed drop rapidly.
