I know how to get the belt off and on but on the top pulley I can find a tool to be able to take it off because of the lack of space is there tools that fit in tight spots

There is a small tool tool kit from Performance Tool part no. W84010. It's a Serpentine Belt Tool. It contains a double jointed pry bar that has a simple 3/8 drive on one end and a plastic covered handle on the other. With it you get three metric sockets 16,17,18 mm. Three metric crows foot 3/8 open end wrenches 13.14,15.

I'm fully aware of the tight conditions you are forced to work in as I have had two Mercury Sables with the Duratec 24 valve motors. Without these tools it's impossible to work in these tight places. Good luck to you.

count extensive type the pully grooves i'm going to wager you have a omit matched pully. the different probably issue is the tensioner isn't wisely seated and this enables the belt to stroll as nicely.
