They had one of the BMW Williams drivers on there this series, or the last, cant remember, and they gave him a T-shirt saying "I am the stig", and told him to wear it around the paddocks when he gets home, as in to take the mick out of his other team mate who is the stig maybe?
Also, they kept making jokes at why his team mates BMW Williams lap times were low this season, suggesting also that hes had his mind on other things and hasnt been getting the time to practice.
Cant remember which Williams driver was on the show, but my guess would be the other one. At least its a little clued up?

theres alotof talk in my hometown of stevenage that its terry grant (from stevenage) it seems to be common knowledge, whether its true or not i dont know. he is a stunt car driver and has a website (below) currently under construction. Healso owns a mot testing and car repairs garage!! thats alot of useless information for you if it turns out not to be him!! good question, we love the stig, clarkson and top gear!

ben collins is the current stig, perry mc carthy is the old stig who dressed in black
