im not sure wher you live , but ther is a web site called "freecycle" no its not all motorcycles lol but its wher people offer stuff for free and you can ask for stuff. its in most states just look for one thats local. also look on "craigslist" under free and under motorcycles, post a add lookin for old junkers or parts. so far in 3 months i got 8 motorcycles and 5 dirtbikes given to me free, yes they needed work but i sold all that i didnt need when i fixed them.

Last summer I saw one made out of an older Suzuki Boulevard S40, or it could have been an even older Suzuki Savage. It was the 650cc single cylinder version. Sort of a cross between a bobber and a rat bike. It was loud. It was low. It was very cool. I suspect the owner didn't spend much money at all on this bike. Maybe $1000 - $2000 including the bike.

Check with your local police department. They get found bikes all the time and the owner never shows up to claim them. Most jurisdictions put unclaimed stuff up for sale a few times a year. Prices are usually pretty cheap as there is no title and no warranty, etc.

It helps to have freinds.
search for local salvage yards, and just walk around it for a day or so.
look for your own inspiration. think long and hard before making any cuts. Good luck!
