Is f(x)=2 cot x odd or even?

tan(x) is an odd function, tan(-x) = -tan(x).

So 1 / tan(-x) = - 1 / tan(x)

so cot(x) is an odd function and so is 2 cot(x).

(To confuse matters 2 cot(x) will produce even values if cot(x) is a integer :p)
