The signal strength for my linksys set up is very low. It sometimes even goes away completely. The receiver is not very far at all from the router, yet I can't get a strong signal strength. Please help!

You can use external antennas which can boost the signals 5 to 10 dB.

You can try moving your router away from items which block the signal. The PC case or other objects may block the signal try moving the router so the antenna has a clear view to the other PC

Well your router could be bad or your wireless card could be. Even the smallest distance router they make shouldn't have a problem like that unless one is bad. Are they both brand new? You may want to return one and get anew one and see if it works then.

Are there any thick walls in between the router and the computer? You just have to think about things like that.
