I just started my car the other day and noticed that the brake and battery lights were constantly on. My car is a little older and has 154,000 on it. In addition to the explanations and solutions, is it safe to drive on?

i have the same car. but maybe check your battery, if it is old then buy a new one. but before that go to autozone and have them check your alt. it is probably one of the two. And for the brake light, check your e-break it might be up a little bit causing it to come on. If you have felt a loss in power it might be because your ebreak is up a little bit. Have you thought about any performance parts on your corolla? :)

the single could haven't got from now on some thing to do with the different.. examine your brake fluid and see no matter if it really is low no matter if it really is examine your brakes because the pads placed on the fluid is going down,, or if there's a leak also.. have the charging device and battery checked as well

These lights will stay on when the car has an alternator problem.Have the electrical system checked. If the alt. is bad,its not going to run much longer on just the battery.

Check your break fluid. Also change the pad if you hear any noise coming from it. Change the battery too. 154,000 miles on a corolla is nothing. If you take care of it, it will last you another 100,000 miles easy.

Your alternator that charges the battery is probably faulty.
it's safe to drive mechanically but when the battery runs out of charge you head lights seize to work and your engine won't start due to flat batteries.

There may be a short in the electrical system. Start with the headlight and taillight wiring.
