Cost price of 2 fans together= Rs 3065
(i) let the cost price of the fan she sold at a profit of 15% be Rs.x
(ii)then price of the fan which she sold at a loss of 9% will be Rs.(3065-x).
then the 2 selling prices will be
(i) 1+(profit%/100)*cost price= 115x/100
(ii) 1-(loss%/100)*cost price=(91/100)*(3065-x)
since the selling prices for the two fans are the same, we get the equation-
=115x/100=(91/100)*(3065-x)
=115x=278915-91x
=115x+91x=278915
=206x=278915
=x=278915/206=1353.96
3065-x=1711.05
so the selling price of the fan she sold at 15% profit= Rs1353.96(approximately)
and the selling price of the fan she sold at 9%loss=
Rs.1711.04(approximately)
is it mentioned there, from u r reffering the total selling price 2? if its there then tell me.

Let the cost of one fan be a ad that of other fan be b
Therefore a + b = 3065 --------------(1)
SP of first fan @ 15 % profit = 1.15 a
& SP of second fan @ 9 % loss = 0.91 b
From second statement both are equal therefore,
1.15 a = 0.91 b
or b = 1.15 a / 0.91
b = 1.26 a putting this value in eq. (1)
a + 1.26 a = 3065
2.26 a = 3065
a = 3065/2.26 = 1356.20
b = 3065 – 1356.20 = 1708 .8

Let CP of one fan be Rs. x and other be Rs. y
x + y =3065 A
x+(15/100)x=y-(9/100)y
115x/100=91y/100
115x=91y B
Solving A and B we get
y =Rs.1711.04
x= Rs.1353.96

f1 + f2 = 3065
115 f1 / 100 = 91 f2 / 100
Then, 115 f1 = 91 f2
therefore f1 = 91/115 f2
then, 91/115 f2 + f2 = 3065
206 f2 = 3065 X 115 = 1711
Then, f1 = 3065 - 1711 = 1354
f1 = 1354, f2 = 1711

Let the cost orices of fans be x and y
x+y=3065--------------------(1)
x+15%=y-9% because it is the same amount
100x+15=100y-9
100x-100y=--9-15
100(x-y)=-24
x-y=-24/100-------------------(2)
Add(1) and (2)
2x=3065+24/100
2x=(306500+24 )/100
x=306524/200=1532.62 and y=1532.62 or 1532.5 approx
Add(1) and (2)

let cp = 3065
let cp1 be of fan 1 ,cp2 of fan 2
and sp1 , sp2 repectively
sp1 = cp1 + cp1xprofit
sp2= cp2 - cp2xloss
cp = cp1+cp2
cp = sp1/(1+profit) + sp2/(1-loss)-----------(1)
but sp1=sp2=sp
thus ,
3065= sp/(1+0.15) + sp/(1-0.09)
or
sp=3065/(1/1.15 + 1/0.91)
solving we get,
sp=1557.04
sp=sp2=0.91xcp2
thus cp2=1711.04
and cp1=1353.96
hence the answers
thus,
sp2=cp2(1-loss)
cp2= 6033.33/0.91
thus

cost price(c.p) of first fan=Rs.3065/2=1532.5
percentage of profit(g)=15%
that implies,
s.p(selling price)=(100+g/100)*c.p(cosst price)
s.p=(100+15/100)*1532.5
s.p=1.15*1532.5
s.p=Rs.1762.375
therefore selling price of first fan is Rs.1762.375
c.p of second fan=Rs.3065/2=1532.5
% of loss(L)=9%
s.p=(100-L/100)*c.p
s.p=(100-9/100)*1532.5
s.p=0.91*1532.5
s.p=Rs.1394.575
therefore s.p of second fan is Rs.1394.575
total c.p=3065
total s.p=1762.375+1394.575
=3156.95
since s.p>c.p
he gained profit
profit=Rs.91.95
