for a 1989 buick lesabre? and does anyone think its possible to repair it yourself?

my dad said its the starter. when i go to start my car it makes a zing and wont kick over.

$60 at Autozone. You have to leave a $20 deposit until you give them the old one.

Are you asking about the engine starter? If so, It could be a problem with the starter or the starter solenoid. New starters run from about $50 and up, depends on engine size and where you go to get it. If you can work on engines and can work in a very confined area by feel, you could do this yourself. If you do not have much auto repair experience take it to a pro.
