If a person takes good care of thier engine, whats the average life of an engine?

Most engines, serviced according to the owners manual, will last longer than the rest of the car. Frequently 250-300k miles.

I have a 1978 Chevy with a 350 in it, and it is still running strong with 232,000 miles. You just have to take care of the vehicle.

Most engine nowdays will get over 200,000 miles with good care.

My dads Dodge Intrepid has over 300K on it, I have seen Toyotas get over 300K as well.
