Ok so I moved to a new area and started highschool without knowing anyone. Im in ninth grade. I have a pretty wide group of friends but only a few close friends, I actually dont hang out with people from school on a weekly basis though I do hang out with people from church/old school alot. I've had 2 girlfriends but neither lasted longer than a couple weeks. Im unsure whether this is normal or if I am an unsocial loser. I really have no trouble with people at school but its just the fact that i dont do much outside of school.

Don't call yourself a loser. You said it yourself, you have friends! and you are obviously a good friend cus you are keeping in contact with your old ones- most people just drop friends like a ton of bricks when they are moving on.
If you really feel you don't have enough close friends try hanging out with some one you like a bit more. Try talking to them more in the hall or in class. Don't seem like a stalker though! =P
The problems with relationships will sort itself out. Maybe those other girls wern't the ones for you.
Try and be more positive about yourself- please? You can't be that terrible, everyone feels like you do every now and then. I know I do.

You are not a loser just because people arent dying to hang out with you. You are new at a school and its expected that it will be a little more difficult for you to become popular. Remember that many of the kids around you have gone to school together for years and have a past together. How many times at your old school did you just invite the new kid out and become best freinds. It doesnt just happen like that. It's good that you are making friends, the hanging out will come as long as you stay social. Do not go to crazy extremes to hang out with them though. You still have your old friends and it isnt worth losing them for.

Good Luck!!

hello.
You're never a loser once you brace yourself up and ask yourself this question. :-)

Moving to a new place is a really tiring experience, meaning you have to re-start learning about your new space, new street, new traffic. Worst, having to know and make new friends and getting to know them (they probably feel the same way about you).

Hence it is quite normal to have friends here and there, but losing girl friends may not mean that you're a lousy person, but perhaps some habits or expectations unmet, which concludes that you may be lack of doing sports or other activities "outside" of school.

You can gather more info about yourself by talking to your church friends to see if thats true.

Think its time to develop some fun things to do, from going to the library or taking up a new hobby, dancing lesson or cycling in the park or volunteer yourself to help out in some community services, who knows you may end up with some cool new chicks!

Good luck and enjoy your new experience.

It's always hard when moving let alone to a new highschool...you're not an unsocialable loser..you are meeting new ppl and making new friends...as for doing things outside of school....join something you've wanted to learn/do...guitar lessons? basketball? baseball...it will also get you meeting new ppl making new friends..being on a team and getting out there. Keep on smiln*

You're not a looser!
Just live your life the way you want & be happy.
Never feel pressured into being someone that you're not.

Loosers are the people that fake it and act how they're "supposed to" just to be popular.

Don't worry about the way you feel about yourself, it's a totally normal part of growing up and the feeling will eventually go away.
