have you ever started screaming at them in a foreign language/ hung up before you answered/told them that you weren't at home/convinced them that they had the wrong number?
Or do you just listen to their entire speech?

But it's so much more fun to mess with them!

My son loves telemarketers...he's play acts with a fake accent ,..or pretends to be yelling at unruly kids in the background ...once he even told a telemarketer that the person he wanted was just hauled off to jail...and that he was the police investigating a crime scene and the telemarketer was obstructing justice by keeping the phone tied up....then asked the guy for his supervisor and his employee number...it was the first time a telemarketer actually hung up first.

I leave my phone off the hook (on speaker) telling them I have to go turn down the saucepan first. then just leave them. Then listen to some of the comments that are made while they are waiting. One actually saked if I was OK and did I need an ambulance, I was so tickled! Also, I'm told while your line is open they cannot make another call, so I'm helping out my fellow man at the same time. Try asking them for their home number so that you can call them back later!

When they start talking about something, I quietly hang up so they could keep talking on and on, otherwise if I say that you were going to hang up, they would say 'This will only take a minute of your time' and then you will get a headache, so I just hang up after about 5 seconds after I pick up the phone. They are always annoying.

I make them go through their whole sales pitch , that way I can tie them up for about 1/2 hour so they can't call as many people , then tell them I'm not interested and hang up on them .

I always try to start conversations with them. Like, "Oh, hello! How was your day? Would you like to come visit? I made some delicious cookies!" Haha! It's so much fun!
