x^3(x-16) = x^4 - 16x^3

look at the formula like this:
x*x*x*(x-16):
since x*x*x=x^3 this is the same as:
x^3*(x-16)
multiply the x^3 by each item inside the parentheses
(x*x^3-16*x^3)
which is the same as :
x^4-16*x^3
