Democrats are questioning whether any White House officials purposely sent e-mails about official business on the RNC server — then deleted them, in violation of the law — to avoid scrutiny.
White House officials said the administration is making an aggressive effort to recover anything that was lost. "We have no indications that there was improper intent when using these RNC e-mails," spokeswoman Dana Perino said.

House Judiciary Chairman John Conyers (news, bio, voting record) said the new documents "were not a complete response to our subpoena request,"
"I expect that the attorney general, as the nation's chief law enforcement officer, will be respectful of his obligations under the committee's subpoena and respond in full by Monday," said Conyers, D-Mich.

It isn't okay for anybody to destroy evidence or to make it unavailable. This seems to be the Republican version of 'values' which so many people voted for, and becomes more disgusting as it continues to surface. Combine this with Bush's denials and there you have a great reason to vote Democratic, sure can't be any worse. Best wishes

The Republican party governing section, (RNC) made Rove stop deleting these e-mails only last year and the White House has admitted that Rove used this political e-mailing system to conduct government business...that in itself is a crime I believe. All official government business must be recorded.

The steel was sent all over, some in Texas some in Michigan, some overseas. I have yet to research this story, there is so much corruption going I am having difficulty keeping up with it.

Should they not delete any emails? I would think their inbox would quit accepting emails after too many. Who says they are "destroying" evidence and not just erasing old emails? Sheesh, they will try anything to discredit the administration. If only they spent as much time trying to make this country better. And quit looking to the past.
