Sea rodent obviously never paid for an Arrowana, you should probably keep him alone. The African Butterfly wouldn't last 10 minutes after the arrowana got hungry. The 20 would only be a temporary home for the parrot,I'd get rid of it. The Red-hook might get big enough to become a tank-mate ,but probably not in the 20 gallon tank. I think you've got too many big fish, just not big enough. Actually the 20 isn't big enough for the Angelfish either,a 29 should be considered minimum for Angels.

Arawanas will eat anything they can fit in their mouth. Silver dollars and parrots go great together but the parrot alone needs a minimum tank size of 30 gallons. Silver dollars are recommended tankmates for arawanas because of size (can't fit in their mouths) and shape. But you're right in that an arawana should be by itself.
Angels are really only recommended for small, peaceful cichilids like kribs, jurapari, keyholes, etc. I've even heard they do okay with orange chromides in a very peaceful community.

whenever I had an overly aggressive fish, I took it out of the tank and donated it to the local pet store.
