My computer keeps restarting when i plug in...?

I am trying to use DATAPILOT 5.2 for my cellphone but every time i plug my cellphone in to the usb cord it restarts my computer. Can anyone help me?

Try using a different USB port and if that doesn't help try using a USB hub with an external plug in power supply and plug the cell phone into the HUB. See if that helps. Its possible there is a short or high current demand in the 5volt power line on the USB connector which is pulling down the PC's power supply.

I had the same problem...I had to shut down the PC...plug in the device and then start it up. I believe it may be a power supply problem.
