Its motor just stopped working as I was power-washing the back patio paving.

I'd just used it with the correct fitting to wash my car and it was all ok. Its a karcher 411a... and whilst its about 8 years old... I've only used it like 5 hours in total during that time. Also its never been exposed to frost.. stored in garage.

Its not a fuse. After 15 minutes I switched it on again and its motor whirled for a moment before stopping again.

Has a karcher got an automatic cut-off feature for some reasons - or has the expensive thing died on me? Any ideas please ?

If you can't figure it out, take it to the place you bought it from. It is a Honda motor, so it shouldn't be too serious.

I had the same thing happen, but was less than a year old and they replaced it... they are cheap... lesson learned...
