I have gossiped about coworker and she found out... It caused so much discomfort for both of us in our workplace (It was a very small group of workers) that I eventually left my job.
Moral of this story: Don't gossip!

I don't think I have. But I can't be totally certain. Generally speaking I won't say something about someone that I wouldn't say to them. I usually apologize if I realize that I have been a jerk though.

I've never experienced that before, but at one place I worked we had rumors flying around like crazy! A few of us were pretty sure that we knew who was spreading them though, so we decided to test our theory and I went up to this lady and told her a "juicy" yet fake tidbit about myself. We knew she was the mouth when the entire store knew the story the next day! lol When I told people it wasn't true, she got mad and didn't speak to me for a long time!

Well, it was worse. When my niece got pregnant, she asked me not to tell. I quickly called my sister to tell her. My niece found out and I felt terrible. I got that sharp stinging feeling inside that I hadn't really felt before.
I told her I was sorry, but I knew there was really nothing I could say to make up for the pain I had caused her. And I lost her trust.

Oh yes, lost a very good friend in high school that way. She still wont speek to me. It had been 8 years, and yes I tried to apologize.

Don't gossip about my friends, but if i do, it might be an accident, and then they one thing to do would be to apologies.

Yes, I think a lot of people have done something that stupid. That's why I don't gossip, lesson learned.
