Also got this wrong in the quiz. What's the inoic equation for the reaction at the cathode? The ions in the solution are: Cu[+2], SO4[-2], H[+], OH[-] all aqueous. I put 2H+ + 2 electrons gives us H2.

At the negative electrode, both copper ions and hydrogen ions are attracted, but it is the copper ions which are discharged, because they are easier to reduce:

Cu2+ + 2e- ------> Cu
