isn't it a simple "c" ? that's the symbol for it in chemistry. I guess it's the same.

If you are talking about chemical concentration, I believe brackets [ ] are used. An example would be [OH-], meaning the concentration of hydroxide ions, with - being a superscript indicating a negative charge.
