Eg, re the ‘Axis of Evil’, a bit of education for ignorant Americans:
Iran, being Shia, is fiercely opposed to Al Qaeda.
More importantly, being Persian, the POPULACE has historically been the most anti-Arab and PRO-AMERICAN of all the Middle Eastern Muslim nations. This has, however, all changed after they were dismissed as part of the ‘Axis of Evil’.

Note that I referred to the POPULACE, if the current US administration was less incompetent they would have encouraged the overthrow of the Iranian leaders, rather than stoking nationalism.

I think we should just let them bomb us and do nothing. That will solve everything.

They don't hate us because of what we do, they hate us for who we are. Amazingly enough, there WAS terrorism BEFORE IRAQ. This is a mute argument. The solution is doing nothing and letting terrorists kill and maim on American soil. Do you propose us to roll over and accept the attacks like Europe does? You are a fool.

Did this kid seriously claim that Iran is AGAINST Al Queda because they are Sunni? You are wrong on many levels, including Al Queda being Sunni. Iran actively supplies weapons and aid to Al Queda operatives and many other islamic terrorists. Did the Iranian weapons found in the hands of Al Queda in Iraq just get there by magic?

I didn't realize that the Iran is pro american, I guess the stadiums with 60,000 Iranians in it chanting "Death to America" are pro-American. Not to mention the pro-American populace of Iran thought it a great idea to capture and hold hostage around 300 Americans. Geeze, with friends like these, we could get rid of Allies like the FRENCH! I suppose that The United Arab Emerites, Kuwaitt, and other Islamic middle-eastern countries are much less pro-American. We have only had a base in UAE for decades.

you're lumping us into one pile The fool bush pile. the overall public of individuals do not trust in this fool. How is the terrorism happening your us of a? Calm, peace finished, serene. All nationalities getting alongside properly? The very last time i replaced into there i found a lot self hatred no longer to coach hatred for all of us or some thing no longer precisely like yourselves. Being that the full of Europe is turning out to be populated with Muslims at a alarming fee you've 25 years until eventually you'd be a predominately Muslim us of a. What are you going to do then connect them or leave? the position will you flow?

Hello---
Have you studied recent history at all-- I mean the 1970s and forward. The world, including the US has been dealing with Arab terrorism since the 1970s (if not the 60s). That dumbard Jimmy Carter was particularly inept at dealing with it.

You are yet another liberal know-nothing. Too bad, so sad. Terrorism didn't start with the Bush administration, and it doesn't affect only Americans. Do you remember the bombing in Spain about 1-1/2 years ago? It was Arab Islamofacists. Get a clue.

You have to realize that although this may seem like common sense to the majority of citizens, it's not the majority but in fact the minority who make theses decisions. And don't think they do so without reason. There are billions of dollars to be made by keeping this nation at war. The bottom line is and always will be $$$$$$. Being hated is an acceptable consequence of being rich.

Very sad...and very true. All hail the new fear! Now that the iron curtain has come down, the only thing to do is to put up another one around us. Fear what we don't understand and hate what we fear. It doesn't take a Phd in psychology to see what the effects of this mentality are doing to this country and sadly, as well, other coutries too. In a world where technology has made the planet so much smaller and the ability to help one another so much more, we have become more isolated and afraid.

Bogus.... what was the excuse for 9-11, the USS Cole, The Colebar Towers, The embassies, et al for the last 38+ years? Or don't you keep track what happened past last week? If you are a liberal.... probably not.

What a dumb thought.

You draw the line in the sand, You can't simply stand around until they attack you again, and still do nothing.

America was attacked, and America responded.
The success of that responce depends on the politicans, not the military. The military has it won already- yet it is the weak right members, and the cowardly left members that want to limit the effects of it, and pretend we are not at war for votes.

Americans are not stupid. They are busy retaining 40 hour / week job, paying taxes + mortgages + basic needs of the life + planning future of the kids. Where is the time for studying and understanding the situation refered to by you? Only millionaires and jobless people are free for analysing similar issues.

Uh, don't put Bush's words in my mouth.

I've opposed him all along.

It simply isn't true that all Americans are identical to each other.

It doesn't take much intelligence to figure that out.
