I have recently been told that socialism is the ultimate good and capitalism the ultimate evil by certain left wing idealists. So I was wondering what the flaws were in socialism. I thought it was like communism, and that has many flaws.

It makes achievers equal to non-achievers. A society with no ambition to create a greater good. The achievers will stop achieving and the system fails. Would you like to work for all the people on your street while they do nothing to help themselves and complain that they can not get ahead in this country?

i think of it incredibly is believing which you would be able to create an excellent efficient government and not have it corrupted via massive company pastimes. maximum individuals artwork tricky and gets a commission far below the value of their contributions. Socialism is approximately making use of the government to create social justice, to treatment the greed of the wealthy and efficient. the subject is the extra efficient a central authority turns into, the speedier it's going to be taken over the expensive to be certain it heavily isn't a stress for social justice and to enact their pastimes, no longer the pastimes of the easy weal. it incredibly is the reason a small government is larger. Smaller government ability much less administration, much less corruption, much less "massive brother" in our lives. it is not appropriate even though it incredibly is attain isn't as huge and hence it incredibly is evil is plenty extra contained. "One international"ism is surely the bright synthesis of massive government, the place sovereignty is abolished and each guy and lady is a serf in the international order. they might call it capitalism or socialism yet massive brother is on top of problems with the two sides to that coin.

Socialism, by its very nature, undermines capitalism. Socialism promotes a complete and total dependency upon the government and others -- which by itself is a form of reconstituted slavery. Socialism promotes mediocracy and laziness. Why strive to get ahead if in the end, whatever gains you've made are just going to be taken from you and given to someone who chose to not work as hard?
Socialism turns into Stalinist styled communism, because socialism does not take into account the nature of man, which is to always try and compete. To be better than the guy beside you. Someone will always be better than you, in charge of you and above you, making the decisions for you. So, the masses are held down and fed only enogh to survive but never to get ahead.
So, when you get to the part about a "Universal Health Care" system, think about who you would rather have taking care of your medical needs. The schmuck who gets paid regardlss of how well he did in school and how many patients he sees, or the guy who really busted his hump, made the extra effort to make the grade and names his own wages? Rememeber, the better and more qualified you are in your given field of profession, the more money you can command.
Me personally, I like the possibility of gaining priviledge. Socialism doesn't allow that possibility to exist.

socialism dictates that the government has a great degree of control on you life, for example, they tell you which doctor to go to, what you can and can't eat, where you can go to school, etc. Communism makes everyone equal, equally poor, and capitolism gives us the oportunity to run our own lives. of all these options I believe true communism is the greatest form of government, however it could never be achieved because it involves humans. Therefore in my opnion the most effective form of government is capitolism because we get to make our own decisions, and we get to either suceed or fail because of our decisions, and our skills.

and right wing idealists will tell you that you should pay more taxes, support big business(such as oil companies)...The right wing cares for big business, and the left wing cares for the consumer...Socialism IS like communism...You have a higher class and a lower class-the business owner and employees, respectively...Its the business equivalent of segregation...Its sort of ridiculous...Karl Marx was a bonehead...

Amazing huh. Nor are they communist.

There is nothing wrong with a gov't that helps people through healthcare, free college education, and superior basic services.
