I think there is intelligent life on other planets. If that qualifies as aliens for you, then the answer is yes. Go search for the "Drake Equation" to see estimates of how many planets in the universe hold intelligent life.

But do I think that they're visiting us? Nah - it's highly unlikely that such visits are happening. The distance to the nearest star is about 4.3 lightyears. That's 135 million times the distance from the earth to the moon. It took 2 days for the Apollo missions to get there - so that's 270 million days - call that 740,000 years. Even if an advanced race can travel 1000 times as fast as Apollo, they would still need 740 years to go that far. Do you think they would live that long? Do you think they could carry that much food, water, air? Do you think that even with recycling everything, they could live that long? Or that critical machinery wouldn't break down?

And that all this assumes that the closest star HAS intelligent life. If it doesn't, then you go out even further - and travel longer - to find one that does. It's more likely that Elvis is playing canasta with Bigfoot somewhere.

My feeling is that anything that people see in the sky here is either manmade, a natural phenomenon, or a hallucination.
