I was just thinking about getting posterboard and then drawing the lines on that, and putting up hoops and the backboard out of cardboard. But this project needs to be really good. So help me out. Thanks!

>>> Edit

1. Get a box approx: 2 x 2
2. Cut out one side & the top ..leaving the bottom, and three sides.
3. Design you court & make the sides pictures of people.
4. Make your goals come out each end ...out of something your imaginaton comes up with.
5. Detail it with some colors, and art brush. Use waterpaint.

I'm unaware of your age, then unsure of your skills..

First do solid planning !! Take the precise measurements of a basketball court and reduce them to smaller scale... This will let you make your replica in the correct proportions.

SKETCH your plans on butcher paper first !!

Now you could be able to get a sheet of 1/8th inch birch plywood of 2' x 2' from Home Depot for about $5... stain it to match the Maple of a real-court. Then follow measured pencil-lines of the side, free-throw, and key lines... mask with tape and paint in your favorite colors.

The Backboard, hoop, and stand might require some tricky work... you MIGHT find realistic replica's at a toy-store ? IF So... scale the model to them !!

I'm probably getting too complicated... sorry
